Rough Riders isn’t your typical fashion brand. Founded by two young entrepreneurial women in Ghent, it blends high-end fashion with a rebellious streak. Supermachine created a striking brand identity that reflects their clean yet rock-and-roll vibe, from a fresh logo to bold merchandise.
How do you create a brand identity that balances high-end sophistication with a rebellious edge? Rough Riders needed visuals that stood out while staying true to their non-conformist roots.
Contrasts define Rough Riders: wild but neat, clean but rock-and-roll. We embraced these opposites to design an identity that’s as dynamic and bold as the brand itself.
A brand identity that turned heads. Rough Riders’ clean yet rebellious aesthetic was brought to life across logos, clothing labels, tote bags, t-shirts, and magazines.

Rough Riders is more than a name: it’s a statement. Inspired by a historical cavalry and infused with a love for Cuba, the brand needed a visual identity that captured its fearless, stylish ethos.
We started with the contrasts: clean versus rock-and-roll, bold versus refined. This tension informed every design element, from the logo to the typography. The result? A brand that feels premium but accessible, rebellious yet polished.
We didn’t stop at the visuals. Rough Riders’ identity extended to branded products like tote bags, t-shirts, and even a custom magazine. These items became tangible and wearable statements of the brand’s philosophy, turning customers into ambassadors.
The new logo, a minimalist yet striking design, is now a staple in Ghent’s fashion scene, worn proudly on t-shirts and sweaters.
Rough Riders is proof that great design isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about creating a movement and community around your brand.
