Who said vocational training isn’t cool? IdeaalDuaal set out to change that. By putting students, businesses, and schools in the driver’s seat, we built a campaign to reimagine what dual learning can do. Through an epic contest, we gathered 70+ ideas, crowned three winners, and gave dual learning the spotlight it deserves.
With academic paths getting all the hype, fewer students are exploring vocational training. The result? A shortage of fresh talent in skilled trades. Our mission: make dual learning feel like the ultimate win-win for students and businesses alike.
Students, schools, and businesses know the challenges better than anyone. By handing them the mic, IdeaalDuaal made it personal, practical, and inspiring. Crowdsourced ideas became the foundation for the future of learning.
The competition delivered big. SAM, Compass, and Noteble stood out for their innovation and potential. And with backing from big names like Microsoft and Imec, these ideas are set to make real change.

Ideaal Duaal was all about shaking things up. SYNTRA Vlaanderen wanted to get people talking about dual learning and Supermachine was up for the challenge.
We kicked things off with a bold, fresh brand that got students, educators, and companies excited. Then, we hit social media hard, using quizzes, influencer campaigns, and real success stories to show what dual learning is all about.
The highlight? A high-energy showdown at Technopolis in Mechelen, where 10 finalists pitched their ideas to a jury of experts from Microsoft, Imec, GAN Belgium, and more. The three winners—SAM, Compass, and Noteble—brought creative solutions to life, from apps for guided learning and self-reflection to a platform for tracking student growth.
But this wasn’t just a competition. It was about building connections and sparking collaboration between students and industry leaders. By the end, IdeaalDuaal set the stage for the future of education.
