We shaped the branding, visual identity and website for two editions of Belmundo, blending human rights and sustainability into designs that were as inspiring as the festival itself.

In short

Belmundo is a movement celebrating the connection between human rights and sustainability. For two consecutive editions, we crafted visual identities that evolved with the festival. In 2021, we introduced a bold fingerprint logo symbolizing individuality and impact. In 2023, we created a nostalgic yet forward-thinking vibe with hand-drawn illustrations and vintage-inspired tones.

Beyond the visuals, we built the festival’s website for both editions, creating a central hub for the program, practical information, festival news, and everything attendees needed to make the most of their Belmundo experience.

The challenge

Belmundo needed a visual identity that could embody its dual mission: advocating for human rights and promoting sustainability. The designs had to be vibrant, inviting, and adaptable for different formats, all while making the festival’s purpose unmistakable.

A festival that champions both people and the planet deserves a visual identity that connects emotionally. By blending nature-inspired elements with human-focused storytelling, we created designs that felt optimistic, relatable, and uniquely Belmundo.

In 2023, we softened the tone with nostalgic colors and hand-drawn illustrations, adding warmth and creativity while staying true to the festival’s core values.

2021: Make Your Mark

The 2021 edition introduced the fingerprint logo, a striking visual metaphor for individuality and impact. The campaign’s bright colors and bold slogan, “Maak Indruk Met Je Afdruk” (“Make an Impression with Your Imprint”), tied everything together, from posters to coloring mandalas. The identity celebrated action and individuality while staying rooted in Belmundo’s mission of connecting people and planet.

To ensure visitors could easily access the full festival experience, we designed a custom website that housed the program, practical event details, news updates, and a dedicated section explaining Belmundo’s mission. The intuitive layout made it easy to explore what was happening when and where.

2023: A Fresh Perspective

For 2023, we softened the visual approach with a nostalgic twist. Vintage-inspired colors and hand-drawn illustrations created a welcoming aesthetic, balancing creativity with warmth. The logo evolved while staying recognizable, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. The new look captured the spirit of renewal while reinforcing Belmundo’s role as a festival of connection and change.

Once again, we designed and built the festival website, giving it a fresh look that matched the 2023 branding. With an updated program layout, practical info, and a streamlined user experience, the website remained the go-to hub for everything Belmundo. Whether visitors needed to check schedules, learn more about the festival’s themes, or find their way to an event, everything was just a click away.
